Marriott opens 5 all-suites hotels in the South

Marriott International’s TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites brands have debuted new locations across the South over the past couple of weeks. Together, the five openings add 493 suites across Georgia, Texas, North Carolina and Florida.

TownePlace Suites

A half hour outside of Atlanta, the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Atlanta Lawrenceville (Ga.) is set to open this week. The 86-suite property, owned and operated by Aysa Hospitality, includes an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a meeting room, a 24-hour market and laundry facilities.

Last week, the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Waco Northeast opened in Texas. A M Lodging owns the 85-suite a hotel and 281 Lodging Group of Longview, Texas, operates it. Like the TownePlace Suites in Lawrenceville, it features an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, meeting room, a 24-hour market and laundry facilities.

The 92-key TownePlace Suites by Marriott Greensboro Coliseum Area opened in North Carolina. The hotel, located 10 minutes from downtown Greensboro, also features an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a meeting room, a 24-hour market and laundry facilities. Statesville, N.C.-based Jam Hospitality owns and operates the property.

SpringHill Suites

The Carowinds theme park in Charlotte, N.C., welcomed its first onsite hotel last week, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte at Carowinds. The park, which is owned by Sandusky, Ohio-based Cedar Fair Entertainment Co., owns and operates the 130-room hotel. The property features an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a meeting room, a 24-hour market and laundry facilities.

The 100-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fort Myers Estero (Fla.) also debuted last week. Owned by Jagi Estero and managed by Janus Hotels & Resorts of Boca Raton, Fla., the hotel features the same amenities as the SpringHill Suites in Charlotte.
