Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has been tapped to manage the Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Residences Doha, opening in Lusail City in 2022. Partnering with Arkaz Investment, the property marks Rosewood’s debut in Qatar, and will be the company’s third Middle East hotel.
The $45 billion Lusail City covers 38 square kilometers on four islands and 19 multi-purpose residential, mixed-use, entertainment and commercial districts. The city will have 450,000 residents and is expected to attract more than 80,000 visitors annually, drawing “a new influx” of international investment, global travelers and “highly skilled expatriates” to the country.
When it opens, the hotel will have 185 guestrooms, 173 serviced apartments for extended stays and 300 residences. Public spaces will include eight dining outlets, a 1,500-square-meter ballroom, a spa, a fitness center and an executive lounge. The hotel will be designed by a team from Arab Engineering Bureau headed by Chief Architect Ibrahim M. Jaidah.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts manages 28 hotels, resorts and residences in 15 countries, with 20 new properties under development.
