Taco Bell Corp. will enter the hotel industry this summer—but only for five days. Opening August 9, The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort will convert an undisclosed Palm Springs, Calif. hotel to “a destination inspired by tacos and fueled by fans.” Taco Bell will manage the property with the hotel’s associates.
According to the company, “everything from guest rooms to breakfast and poolside cocktails will be infused with a Taco Bell twist.” The hotel will feature menu items exclusive to the hotel, a pool, a gift shop and an on-site salon offering Taco Bell-inspired nail art, fades and a braid bar.
“The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date. It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect,” said Marisa Thalberg, Taco Bell’s chief global brand officer. “Also, just like some of our most sought-after food innovation, this hotel brings something entirely new for lucky fans to experience and enjoy.”
Reservations for the resort will open in June and the hotel is positioning itself as open only to guests 18 and older. It was unclear if families with children would be welcome. The pop-up property will be competitively priced to the destination and other hotels in the area and details on the street location, number of rooms, specific rates and additional amenities are slated to be revealed next month, according to the company.
