The Josie Hotel appoints new GM

The Josie Hotel, a slope-side boutique hotel in Rossland, British Columbia, has appointed Jesse Crockett as its new general manager. Crockett has more than 20 years of hospitality experience, more than a decade of which has been in management positions.

Most recently, Crockett served as hospitality director for five years at SilverStar Mountain Resort in Vernon, British Columbia, overseeing four hotels, eight food-and-beverage outlets and a spa. While there, he kickstarted and managed various events and festivals.

Before working as hospitality director, Crockett held the position of accommodations/property manager at SilverStar Mountain Resort for nearly two and a half years. Going further back, he also worked as assistant front-office manager at Fairmont Pacific Rim and guest services manager at Predator Ridge Resort.

The Josie Hotel is one of several accommodations’ options at Red Mountain Resort. It features 106 guestrooms and suites, 1,500 square feet of venue space, a spa, a restaurant a fitness facility and ski concierge services.
