Marriott opens hotel, serviced apartments in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Marriott International and Dur Hospitality have opened the Riyadh Marriott Hotel Diplomatic Quarter and Marriott Executive Apartments Riyadh, Diplomatic Quarter in Saudi Arabia’s capital city. 

“We are delighted to enhance our footprint in Saudi Arabia with the opening of two strategically important hotels that not only complement each other but also deliver very distinct brand experiences,” Alex Kyriakidis, president/managing director, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International, said in a statement. “Saudi Arabia continues to be one of our key markets and we are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with Dur Hospitality.”

The complex is the first luxury full-service hotel in the Diplomatic Quarter and has 80 guestrooms alongside 140 serviced apartments. Public spaces include The Greatroom, three dining venues, a pool, a fitness center and a Turkish hammam.

The opening of properties marks the fifth collaboration between Marriott International and Dur Hospitality following the Riyadh Marriott Airport, the Marriott Executive Apartments Riyadh Convention Center, the Courtyard by Marriott Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter and the Riyadh Marriott Hotel—Marriott’s first property in the Middle East.

The complex is close to key embassies and major corporate headquarters, and is a 30-minute drive from King Khalid International Airport.
