The LCP Group and Blue Vista Capital Management acquired the Hilton Kansas City Airport in Kansas City, Mo.
The 347-room property is less than 3 miles away from the Kansas City International Airport and 16 minutes from downtown. It is located near several corporate headquarters, including AmerisourceBergen, Toyota, Multivac and Mastercard. The Kansas Speedway, host of two annual NASCAR weekends in May and October, and the Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun Amusement Park are both near the property, as well as the Zona Rosa shopping district.
“In partnership with LCP, we continue to acquire high-quality assets, like the Hilton Kansas City Airport, that meet our investment criteria,” Michael Raday, VP at Blue Vista, said in a statement.
“The Hilton Kansas City Airport represented an opportunity for us to acquire a premium branded property located in a market with a diversity of demand generators,” Francis Lively, CEO and president of LCP, said in a statement. “The asset is a great addition to our growing hotel and real estate portfolio.”
The hotel underwent a renovation that included guestrooms, public spaces and meeting rooms, as well as various mechanical and back-of-house upgrades. It offers numerous amenities and services including a 24-hour pavilion pantry market, complimentary Wi-Fi, on-site Asado Urban Grill restaurant, a business center as well as a fitness center with an indoor/outdoor pool. Each guestroom will include the brand’s Hilton Serenity Bed, mini-refrigerator, Cuisinart single-serve coffee maker and an oversized desk area with ergonomic chair. With more than 21,000 square feet of flexible meeting space across 20 meetings rooms equipped with the latest technology, the property can accommodate both large conferences and social receptions.
The property will be managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts located in Norwalk, Conn.
